Hardfacing Ni-hard in the cement industry
Many years of testing new hardfacing compositions brought a new and special welding wire for Ni-hard with exceptional live. After 1547 hours and 286,480 M ton of limestone crushing, the rollers still remain in excellent condition! OA 59 Special, a open arc wire with extreme high hardness containing a high amount of Chromium and Niobium carbides with special additives to create cracks.
Note: Nihard is seen as not weldable due to the extreme high hardness, please consult us for a succesfull procedure.
CEWELD OA 59 is extreme abrasion resistant with reasonable impact properties and temperature resistance up to 300ºC. Due to the combination Cr and Nb carbides the deposit structure contains very fine particles that results in excellent wear resistance against heavy abrasion. Usualy the maximum number of layers is 2 till 3 but when using a special stringer build up technick with release cracks, upto 15 layers is also possible.
