Weldox 900, how high can we go?

Achieving a yield strength of 890 MPa is already extremely difficult and T-8/5 restrictions are almost impossible to respect in practice. Usually solid wires are used in the ER 120 class and mostly the design is under matched.  CEWELD® AA M960 was developed to achieve a yield strength of at least 890 MPa in the as welded condition to match steel types similar to Weldox 900. CEWELD® AA M960 is a seamless metal cored wire that offers better wetting properties than solid wires resulting in less risk of bonding failures and higher travel speed with a spatter free arc.

Applications

CEWELD® AA M960 is typically used in applications that require high strength and durability. Here are some common uses:

  1. Construction Equipment: Ideal for manufacturing heavy-duty construction machinery and equipment.

  2. Cranes and Lifting Devices: Used in the production of cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices due to its high yield strength.

  3. Automotive Industry: Employed in the fabrication of high-strength automotive components.

  4. Shipbuilding: Suitable for constructing parts of ships that need to withstand high stress and harsh conditions.

  5. Bridges and Infrastructure: Utilized in building bridges and other infrastructure projects where high strength and reliability are crucial.
